Painkiller’s latest trailer showcases some of its weapons

3D Realms and Saber Interactive have unveiled a new trailer for Painkiller, focusing on the game’s weapons. Players will have access to seven weapons, including the Stakegun, Electrodriver, SMG, Handcannon, Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and the Painkiller itself.

The Stakegun delivers high damage stakes, the Electrodriver shoots bouncing shurikens, the SMG fires bursts of bullets, the Shotgun deals high damage up close, the Handcannon is effective at long range, the Rocket Launcher is great for taking out groups, and the Painkiller hooks onto enemies and tears them apart. Each weapon features primary and alternative fire modes, upgrades with bonuses, and elemental rounds such as fire, ice, electro, and kinetic.

Painkiller’s story is set in Purgatory, where players must redeem themselves by battling demons to prevent the fallen angel Azazel from invading Earth. The game can be played solo or in co-op mode for up to three players. Painkiller is set to launch this autumn for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series XS.
