After much anticipation, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra camera phone has been officially announced. However, there’s a catch.

A few weeks ago at MWC 2025, during Oppo’s AI summit keynote, I had the opportunity to attend a top-secret briefing about the upcoming Find X8 Ultra. The excitement was palpable as Oppo unveiled their flagship phone, which they are calling “The Everest” and “The ultimate camera phone.”

However, my enthusiasm was dampened when it was revealed that the Find X8 Ultra would have an exclusive launch in the Chinese market.

Despite my hopes for a change in plans, it has been confirmed that the exclusive launch for the Find X8 Ultra remains unchanged.

This news is disappointing, especially considering that the Find N5, Oppo’s foldable phone, also did not have a UK launch despite a press event in London.

However, the Find X8 Ultra still offers impressive camera technology in a sleek and normal-looking handset, setting it apart from its competitors.

One of the key features of the Find X8 Ultra is its thin design, measuring just 8.78mm and feeling light and slender in hand.

Despite its sleek profile, the Find X8 Ultra manages to pack in impressive camera technology without the bulky camera bump seen in many high-end camera phones. It also offers a simple color scheme with black and white options, along with a rumored pale pink variant.

With premium build quality and IP68/69 ratings, the Find X8 Ultra aims to provide a comfortable user experience.

All the camera tech in a ‘normal’ handset?

In terms of camera capabilities, the Find X8 Ultra features a ‘Next-gen Hasselblad master camera’ system with a range of impressive specs, including multiple high-resolution cameras and advanced software enhancements.
