In the new season, Mabel, Charles, and Oliver venture to the West Coast to conquer Hollywood. They receive an offer from Hollywood executives to adapt their podcast into a movie. The trio faces various challenges in Los Angeles, as shown in the trailer.

According to Craig Erwich, Disney Television Group President, the unique storytelling approach of Only Murders will now be applied to Los Angeles:

Well, I’m very excited to see Steve, Martin and Selena take a little break from the apartment building and come to Los Angeles. So in the same way that John Hoffman used the canvas of Broadway to tell what I think was one of the most unique seasons you’ve ever seen, the same unique Only Murders take will be applied to Los Angeles, which I’m really excited about.

Aside from working on the film, the trio will also engage in a serious investigation this season.

Season 3 ended unexpectedly, with Charles possibly targeted for murder. The mysterious circumstances hint at a larger conspiracy, raising questions about the trio’s safety and the identity of their enemies.

The season will explore whether the new threat is linked to their past investigations or if it’s a completely new challenge. The fate of Sazz, the victim of the shooting, remains uncertain, leaving viewers eager for answers.
