OnePlus Teases Metal Unibody Design For Nord 4 Smartphone
OnePlus has announced a “Summer Launch Event” scheduled for 16 July in Milan, teasing a groundbreaking new device that defies traditional norms. While details are scarce on the official website, recent posts on X hint at the unveiling of a new Nord phone.
The concept of a metal unibody entails crafting the phone from a single piece of metal that covers the entire back and sides, reminiscent of earlier models like HTC’s One series, which phased out in 2016.
The physical invite sent by OnePlus for the event emphasizes the challenges of creating a metal smartphone in the 5G era, hinting at the device’s strength, sophistication, and enduring quality.
The anticipated benefits of the Nord 4, despite being a mid-range phone, could be its standout features. The previous Nord 3 was priced at £499/€499 upon launch.
While concrete details about the Nord 4 are yet to be disclosed by OnePlus, a leak on X provides insights into key specs and a two-tone rear design.
If accurate, this design sets the Nord 4 apart from the Ace 3V, which debuted in China earlier this year. More details are expected to be unveiled on 9 July or at the official launch on 16 July, which will be covered by Tech Advisor.
Stay tuned to explore how the Nord 4 stacks up against the current best mid-range phones and top OnePlus models.
