OnePlus 13T Battery Tipped to be Huge

The OnePlus 13T could be the official name for the compact OnePlus 13 Mini smartphone that has been the subject of much speculation, and it might come with a large battery.

A reliable source, Digital Chat Station, has shared some interesting information on Weibo regarding OnePlus’s upcoming small-sized phone release.

The leaker suggests (via Google Translate) that “The 6.3-inch small-screen flagship in April has a battery of 6200mAh+”.

Why this OnePlus 13T spec is insane

Let that sink in for a moment. The OnePlus 13T, expected to be similar in size to the Google Pixel 9 Pro and Xiaomi 15, will come with a 6200mAh battery.

We were impressed with the battery size of the full-sized OnePlus 13 earlier this year. Despite its large 6.82-inch screen, the 6000mAh battery it housed was already significant. If this latest leak is accurate, the OnePlus 13T will surpass that.

OnePlus is clearly pushing its silicon-carbon (Si-C) battery technology to fit a high-capacity battery into a relatively small form factor.

OnePlus 13T rumoured specs

Other reports about the OnePlus 13T (previously known as the OnePlus 13 Mini) suggest that it will support 80W wired charging. There are conflicting opinions on the camera setup.

Some sources claim it will have only two cameras, including a 50Mp main sensor and a 50Mp 2x telephoto lens. Others suggest it might feature a triple camera system, adding an 8Mp ultra-wide lens to the mix.

Expect it to be powered by Qualcomm’s fast Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, similar to the OnePlus 13, and sport a premium metal and glass design.

One thing it will not have is the iconic Alert Slider. OnePlus co-founder and CEO Pete Lau recently announced in a blog post that it will be replaced by a contextual button.

As per the latest leak, OnePlus is expected to unveil the OnePlus 13T in April (at least in China), so the official details should be revealed soon.
