NYT Mini Crossword today: puzzle answers for Saturday, April 26
The latest addition to The New York Times Games collection is Digits, a math-based game following the success of Wordle. In Digits, players must use their math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers to match a target number. The beta version of the game is currently available to play for free online.
In Digits, players are tasked with reaching a target number using six given numbers. They can use a combination of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to get as close to the target as possible. Players do not need to use every number provided, adding an extra challenge to the game.
Players can earn a five-star rating for matching the target number exactly, three stars for getting within 10 of the target, and one star for getting within 25. Digits features five different puzzles with increasing difficulty levels. Overall, the game offers a fun and engaging experience for fans of number-based puzzle games like Threes, Wordle, and Spelling Bee from The New York Times.
In an article introducing Digits and discussing the development process, The New York Times Games team mentions that they will use the beta phase to address any bugs and determine if the game will progress to a more active development phase. If Digits does not receive the desired response, the project may be discontinued.
Players can currently access the beta version of Digits for free on The New York Times Games website. Give it a try and see if this math-based game is a hit!
