NYT Mini Crossword today: puzzle answers for Monday, April 28

The New York Times has recently announced the arrival of a new game in its catalog following the immense success of Wordle. This new game, called Digits, focuses on math skills. Players will engage in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing numbers to match a target number. The beta version of Digits is currently available for free online play.
In Digits, players are tasked with reaching a target number by using six given numbers and applying mathematical operations. The goal is to get as close to the target number as possible by combining the numbers strategically. Players do not have to use all the numbers provided, adding a challenging element to the game that tests their math abilities.
Upon achieving an exact match with the target number, players will receive a five-star rating. Getting within 10 of the target earns a three-star rating, while being within 25 of the target results in a one-star rating. The game offers five different puzzles with increasing difficulty levels based on larger numbers.
Having personally solved today’s puzzle, I found Digits to be a stimulating number-based game that will appeal to those who enjoy puzzle games like Threes, Wordle, and Spelling Bee from The New York Times. The game challenges players to think critically and creatively to solve each puzzle.
In an article unveiling Digits and discussing the game development process at The New York Times Games, the team mentions that the beta version will help identify and address any bugs before deciding on further development. The response to the game during this beta phase will determine its future development and potential release.
Players can access the free beta version of Digits on The New York Times Games’ website and experience the unique math-based gameplay for themselves.
