Nuggets' Nikola Jokic hits surreal one-handed shot at halftime buzzer

Nikola Jokic might have a career as a quarterback with this arm.

The Nuggets star, who has a crazy knack for hitting ridiculous shots from distance, did so again Friday night for Denver to close out the first half against the Jazz.

With time winding down in the second quarter, Jokic quickly asked for the ball on an inbound pass, took one dribble, took two steps and then put up a floater from just beyond the Utah 3-point line.

The high, arcing shot seemed to float in the air like a moonball pass in the NFL, and when it came down, it had the perfect precision to land right into the net a tick before the halftime buzzer sounded.

According to the box score, the shot came from 62 feet out.

For Jokic, that’s not even his farthest shot at the buzzer this calendar year.

A little over two months ago, Jokic did the same thing at the end of the third quarter against the Kings, taking an inbound and casually making a 66-footer.

In that game, Jokic became the first player with at least 35 points, 20 rebounds and 15 assists since Wilt Chamberlain did so in 1968.

Jokic had 27 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and four steals through three quarters on Friday.
