Nothing Phone (3) Release Date, Price & Specs Rumours
Known for its proactive and engaged community, Nothing values feedback that directly influences the development of its devices. With high expectations due to the brand’s hype, the community eagerly anticipates the next generation of devices.
In July 2023, the Nothing Phone (2) was introduced as an upgraded version of the original Nothing Phone (1). Based on typical smartphone release timelines, one might expect the Nothing Phone (3) to launch soon, but that is not the case.
CEO Carl Pei has mentioned the company’s next flagship phone, indicating that a launch is not imminent. Pei emphasizes the importance of getting the product right by integrating hardware and AI, delaying the release of the Phone (3) to provide customers with a refined product.
When will the Nothing Phone (3) be released?
An announcement by Pei on X (formerly Twitter) suggests that Nothing’s next flagship phone will not debut until the following year, focusing on integrating hardware and AI to deliver a superior product. Based on previous launch dates, the Phone (3) is estimated to be released in July 2025.
Yogesh Brar indicates that three new phones from Nothing are currently in development and expected to launch in the first half of 2025, potentially including versions like the (3a) and (3) Pro.
How much will the Nothing Phone (3) cost?
Previous models were priced competitively, with the Phone (2) launching at a similar price range. Speculation suggests that the Phone (3) could cost between ₹40,000 and ₹45,000, aligning with the Phone (2)’s launch price.
What specs and features will the Nothing Phone (3) have?
Leaked information hints at improvements in the Phone (3) design, possibly incorporating Gorilla Glass Victus for enhanced durability. Additionally, upgrading to at least an IP68 water and dust resistance rating would align the Phone (3) with industry standards.
Regarding the screen and speakers, minimal changes are expected from the Phone (2)’s 6.7-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, improvements in brightness may be necessary to enhance real-world usability.
A brighter panel would be a welcome addition to the Phone (3) to enhance the user experience.
Improving sound quality and internal speakers could also contribute to a more satisfying audio experience, especially for those who use Bluetooth earbuds.
For performance, upgrading to a more powerful chipset like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or even the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 could address concerns about slowdowns and stalling.
The Glyph Interface software on the Phone (3) could be further refined to attract third-party support and enhance its features.
Upgrading the camera setup, focusing on low-light performance, color reproduction, and reduced shutter lag, would be beneficial for the Phone (3).
Battery and charging features on the Phone (3) could include more advanced fast charging technology and increased battery capacity, following trends set by competitors like Honor and Sony.
Software-wise, the Phone (3) is likely to run on Android 15 and Nothing OS 2.5 or 3, showcasing the company’s AI efforts. Hence, a plethora of AI features can be anticipated, even though the specifics have not been disclosed yet.
We will keep this post updated as more information is unveiled about Phone (3). In the meantime, feel free to explore our top picks for the best Android phones and the finest mid-range phones to see how they stack up against the competition.
