Nintendo used its new app to announce the ‘Legend of Zelda’ movie release date

During the Nintendo Direct event, game director Shigeru Miyamoto introduced the Nintendo Today! news app, which was used exclusively to reveal the release date of the ‘Zelda’ movie to those who downloaded it promptly.

The app is designed to provide daily news on various Nintendo games, allowing users to customize it based on their favorite franchises.

Nintendo’s strategy of investing in existing intellectual property has been successful, as seen with the box office success of the “Super Mario Bros” movie.
