New York' star Lynn Ban undergoes brain surgery

Reality TV star Lynn Ban from “Bling Empire: New York” revealed that she had to undergo emergency brain surgery following a ski accident during the holidays.

Sharing on Instagram, Ban, 51, described the incident that occurred while she was skiing in Aspen, Colorado on Christmas Eve. She mentioned that she face-planted after one of her skis got caught on something.

Despite wearing a helmet, Ban initially didn’t think her injury was severe. She continued skiing but later decided to seek medical attention from a ski patrol medic as a precaution. The medic recommended a hospital visit for a CT scan, which ultimately saved her life.

At the hospital, it was discovered that Ban had a brain bleed. She was quickly airlifted to a trauma hospital where she underwent emergency craniotomy surgery. She expressed gratitude to the medical team, her husband, and the ski patrol for their swift actions.

Although Ban acknowledged that her recovery will be a long journey, she referred to herself as a survivor. She shared photos from her hospital stay, including images of her shaved head with a large incision, tubes, and IVs, as well as moments from her ski trip with her husband.

Despite the challenges, Ban received an outpouring of support and well-wishes from fans, friends, and colleagues, as she expressed her gratitude for making it through the ordeal and looking forward to the new year.
