Nekomata Okayu romance game Okayu Nyumu gets English release

Japanese developer Entergram has announced an English release for Okayu Nyumu, their romance visual novel starring hololive VTuber Nekomata Okayu.

Okayu Nyumu is getting an official English release for Windows PC (via Steam) this summer, on August 7th.

The romance visual novel has been available since February 2025 for PC, Switch, and PS4 in Japan. An English release wasn’t confirmed for the console ports.

Story

One fateful day, our protagonist chanced upon a strange cat. A stray cat with a beautiful lavender coat and an empty stomach.

A girl with cat ears sleeping blissfully under the same blanket as him. The girl, Nekomata Okayu, tells him she has nowhere to go, and so they begin living together.

With the introduction of the mysterious Okayu, our protagonist’s uneventful life will never be the same.

What secrets does Okayu hold? How will their relationship develop? This is a story about the budding bond between the two—more than friends but less than lovers—as they tackle life, sharing both tears and laughter.
