Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord announces viking-themed expansion “War Sails”

Independent developer TaleWorlds Entertainment has announced a new Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord expansion “War Sails,” focusing on the Vikings.

The upcoming expansion “War Sails” for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is scheduled to release on June 17th, introducing a new Viking faction to the game. The expansion will be accompanied by a significant free update for the base game.

Additionally, it has been revealed that Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord has surpassed 5 million copies sold, excluding Game Pass or PlayStation Plus subscriptions.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord initially launched in early access for Windows PC on platforms like Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store before a full release on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.

The War Sails expansion adds new strategic elements to the vast world of Calradia, introducing naval warfare for the first time.
