Motorola Razr 60 Release Date, Price & Specs Rumours

Motorola is set to expand its foldable phone lineup with the upcoming Razr 60 series in 2025.
Building on the success of the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra, the new devices are anticipated to feature cutting-edge technology and design. Based on previous releases, we’d expect them to be called the Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra.
In the US, the Ultra model will be known as the Razr+ (2025), as confirmed by Android Headlines and well-known leaker Evan Blass.
While concrete details remain scarce, speculation about the release date, pricing, and features provides an exciting glimpse into what Motorola might deliver.
When will the Motorola Razr 60 be released?
Back in August 2024, Gizmo China reported that Motorola was working on the device codenamed ‘Orion’ with the model number XT2551-3. The ‘XT25’ prefix also appears to confirm the device’s planned launch year as 2025.
Now, as per 91Mobiles report, the Razr 60 Ultra has moved closer to its launch, having been certified by the BIS authority in India under the model number ‘XT2551’. This certification offers little additional detail, but it confirms the device as the successor to the Razr 50 Ultra, which had the ‘XT2451’ model number.

This aligns with Motorola’s established naming conventions and suggests a new generation could be coming soon. Further confirmation of the Razr 60 Ultra name has come via the UAE’s TDRA certification documents, which clearly list the name alongside its model number.
The phone also appeared on China’s TENAA certification site, further indicating an imminent launch. According to Android Headlines, the Razr 60 Ultra could arrive sooner than last year’s late-June Razr 50 Ultra.
As a reminder, the Razr 50 Ultra was certified for sale in India by the BIS back in April last year, and then the phone was subsequently launched globally in June. If this two-month delay between certification and launch continued, the Razr 60 Ultra could have been official as soon as March. Obviously, that didn’t happen, so April is now the earliest we could expect to see the phone launch
How much will the Motorola Razr 60 cost?
While there’s no official word on pricing, it’s reasonable to assume that the Razr 60 phones will be priced similarly to their predecessors.
For reference, the Razr 50 Ultra (Razr+ (2024) in the US) launched at £999/$999, while the regular Razr 50 (Razr (2024)) started at £799.99/$699.99.
Hopefully, Motorola will be able to introduce new features without increasing prices. It’d also be great if Motorola didn’t make the regular model so much more expensive in the UK than the US, as was the case in 2024.
What specs and features will the Motorola Razr 60 have?
The Motorola Razr 60 series is expected to build upon the strong foundation laid by its predecessors.
While details are yet to be revealed, examining the Razr 50 series provides clues about what we might see in the next generation.
Design
Official-looking renders of the Razr 60 Ultra have been posted by Android Headlines in collaboration with Evan Blass, and they reveal a device that looks a lot like the Razr 50 Ultra. Both have a pretty good track record for phone designs.
Aside from a slightly darker shade of green, it doesn’t look like much has changed. Read more in our separate news story: Motorola Razr 60 Ultra image leak reveals all.

Android Headlines
Since then, Evan Blass has showcased the phone in several colours: green, Rio Red, pink, and even a wood-like finish reminiscent of the Edge 50 Ultra.
The overall design is similar to last year’s phone, with a textured vegan leather back and the same camera layout. Dimensions will remain at 171.5 x 74 x 7.3mm unfolded, and it weighs 199g, according to a listing on the TENAA database.
Display
The Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra featured a stunning 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display, and their successors are expected to continue where those devices left off.
The Ultra model is expected to feature a 6.9-inch pOLED internal screen (2640 x 1080, 165Hz) and a 4-inch external OLED cover screen, identical to the Razr 50 Ultra.
The regular Razr 60 will differ slightly, according to widely-trusted XpertPick. It’s expected to use a smaller 6.7-inch pOLED panel, marking a return to a more compact foldable.

Motorola could also enhance the external cover displays, making them larger and more functional for quick interactions.
As a reminder, while the Razr 50 has a 3.4-inch external display, the Razr 50 Ultra offers a 4-inch screen. Android Headlines suggests the company is sticking with the same specs, at least on the Ultra.
Performance
Equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, the Razr 50 Ultra delivered exceptional performance.
On the other hand, the regular Razr 50 featured the Mediatek Dimensity 7300X, which wasn’t a great performer.

In terms of upgrades, the picture is mixed.
Xpertpick spotted an entry on the Geekbench database labelled “motorola razr ultra 2025” that’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and an Adreno 830 GPU.
Moving to Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chipset would be a surprising move, considering the 8s Gen 3 on the 50 Ultra was a big step down from the regular 8 Gen 3.
If true, it’d mean the Razr 60 Ultra would be able to go head-to-head with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which will likely use the same chip.
According to Android Headlines, the Ultra will be available with up to 12GB of RAM and start at 256GB of internal storage.
TENAA filings confirm configurations of 8GB, 12GB, 16GB and 18GB RAM, and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB – although these high-end variants may be China-only.
The standard Razr 60 will use the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X, a minor step up from last year’s 7300X, per XpertPick.
Cameras
The Razr 50 Ultra’s 50Mp main lens, 50Mp telephoto and 32Mp front camera offered impressive photography capabilities for a foldable device.
The Razr 50’s setup swapped a 50Mp telephoto lens for a 13Mp ultrawide camera, but still produced great photos.
