Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 is coming in February

Monster Hunter Wilds fans have exciting news to look forward to with the upcoming launch on 28th February. But for those eager to dive into the game sooner, Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced that Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 will also be available in February!
The second Open Beta will be held across two weekends on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with crossplay enabled.
- Weekend 1 – Thursday 6th February 7PM PT through Sunday 9th February 6:59PM PT
- Weekend 2 – Thursday 13th February 7PM PT through Sunday 16th February 6:59PM PT
For UK players, this translates to a 3AM start time on Friday mornings.
Open Beta Test 2 will feature additional monsters to hunt, along with the full character creation suite, story trial, and the slay Doshaguma quest. Players will also have the opportunity to hunt Gypceros.
Characters created in the first beta test can be carried forward to the second beta and also transferred to the full game, although game progress will not be carried over. Participants in the beta will receive a charming weapon or Seikret charm.
The development team notes that the second beta will not have significant changes compared to the first, as adjustments to performance, weapon changes, Hitstop, quality of life improvements, and more will only be implemented in the full game. Capcom provided details on these changes in a community update in December.
Those who had the chance to play the game early shared their impressions in our Monster Hunter Wilds preview last year. Nic expressed excitement, stating, “Time will tell how Wilds eventually plays out, but I must say — I am more excited than ever to get my hands on the final game. Just like at the Meowscular Chef’s kitchen, this small taste of a gorgeous offering from Capcom has me desperately wanting more.”
