Pocketwatch Games and publisher Humble Games have announced that Monaco 2, their cooperative heisting sequel, is set to release on April 10th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Monaco 2 allows players to form heisting teams of up to four players, with the option to play solo as well. There are eight playable characters to choose from, and you can switch between them during a mission if needed. Blueprint Mode lets you preview a mission’s layout before diving in.

Unlike the linear adventure of the original Monaco, the sequel offers a more freeform heist simulator experience. Alongside a structured campaign, players will face procedurally generated levels designed by an AI mastermind to challenge their skills and teamwork.

Visually, Monaco 2 has evolved from the minimalist top-down style of its predecessor to a more detailed isometric view of 3D worlds with a painterly art style.

A demo of Monaco 2 was released during Steam Next Fest in February, featuring around 2 hours of unique missions with five playable thieves from the full game lineup. The demo also introduced the “Unreliable Narrator” mode, adding a twist to the gameplay experience.
