Modern retro stealth action game Spy Drops announced

Publisher Rainy Frog and developer Rainy Night Creations have recently unveiled Spy Drops, a cutting-edge “modern retro stealth action” game that harkens back to the original Metal Gear Solid in terms of both aesthetics and gameplay.

Spy Drops is currently in the works for Windows PC (available on Steam) and Nintendo Switch, although an official release date has not yet been disclosed.

Storyline

Covert Black Ops

Deployed deep within enemy territory, your covert operations involve infiltrating key infrastructures and executing clandestine missions such as intelligence gathering, surveillance device installation, and prisoner extractions.

Randomized Missions

Experience tension-filled gameplay as mission layouts are randomly generated, keeping you on edge as you navigate through unknown terrains with each playthrough.

Tackle the Mission Your Way

Traverse enemy compounds room by room, choosing your approach for each encounter. Whether evading, hacking security systems, or engaging in combat, the choice is yours. Employ drones for scouting, conceal yourself in lockers, or utilize silent movement techniques with sponge boots. Opting for stealth and non-lethal methods will yield greater rewards and experience.

Customize your loadout for each mission, selecting from a variety of gadgets and weapons such as drones, hacking tools, night vision goggles, sniper rifles, tasers, mine detectors, and more. Unlock new equipment as you progress through the game.

Dream Catcher

Accumulate Target Points by extracting intelligence from incapacitated guards using the Dream Catcher. Remember, extracting intel from deceased targets is not an option, so prioritize non-lethal approaches whenever feasible.
