Modders uncover a last-minute Yennefer betrayal in The Witcher 3 cut content

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a popular RPG game, recently received official modding tools known as REDKit, allowing players to customize the game with new content. ‘Tuber xLetalis and modder glassfish have put together a showcase featuring around 20 minutes of cut content from the game’s ending. This includes scenes between Geralt, Eredin, Yennefer, Emperor Charles Dance, and more.

The cut scenes, rediscovered and added back into the game, provide additional dialogue and interactions that would have taken place at a Niflgaardian camp. There are conversations with key characters and even a scene where Yennefer betrays the Lodge of Sorceress to help Ciri. The discarded scenes also feature Crach an Craite, known for giving out magic swords with underwhelming stats.

While it’s been a while since The Witcher 3 was completed, the added content brings back memories of the intricate storytelling seen in The Witcher 2. Despite the third game’s excellence, many fans still lament the unresolved plot threads from the previous installment. With modding tools like REDKit, players now have the power to enhance their gaming experience by adding new elements to the game.
