Missouri mom says son ‘sacrificed’ himself to save pregnant fiancé from his deranged dad on Christmas eve

A tragic incident occurred on Christmas Eve in Missouri, where a soon-to-be father, Kevin Ward, was shot and killed while protecting his pregnant fiancée during an argument with his father. The mother of Kevin, Katherine Ward, expressed her devastation over the senseless act that took her son away.

The father, Harold Luster, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with Kevin’s death. The altercation reportedly started over accusations of infidelity and withholding information.

Katherine Ward recounted the heartbreaking phone call she received from Kevin during the argument, where he questioned his father’s actions before the call abruptly ended. Moments later, Kevin was fatally shot in the forehead by his father.

Kevin’s mother described him as a hero who sacrificed himself to protect his fiancée and unborn child. She emphasized that Kevin’s main goal was to provide a loving home for his family.
