Metaphor: ReFantazio introduces Archetype job system in new gameplay
Publisher Atlus and developer Studio Zero shared a new trailer and second showcase video for Metaphor: ReFantazio.
The new trailer gives another look at the highly anticipated JRPG but the showcase had game director Katsura Hashino explaining how Archetypes (jobs) work by branching and evolving throughout the player’s journey.
There are 14 basic Archetypes like the Magician, the Thief, the Seeker and the Monk – each have a lineage that includes more Archetypes that unlock as the game progresses. Metaphor: ReFantazio has more than 40 archetypes like the Masked Dancer, the Summoner, the Berserker and many, many more.
