Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date leaked, alongside a trailer showing off the baddies

“Snake says, ‘Kept you waiting, huh?’ Well, not really this time. The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has been revealed on the PlayStation Store this week. The MGS3 remake is set to launch in August, as seen on the store page. Additionally, a camouflaged trailer can be found if you search in the right places.

The initial release date displayed on the game’s PlayStation page was August 28th. However, it has now been replaced with a vague “2025” but can still be seen at the end of a leaked trailer. You can watch the trailer by checking out this mysterious URL that resembles a human figure.

The trailer showcases the various bosses that Snake must face before confronting The Boss and becoming his own Big Boss. Remember these iconic villains from the original 2004 game? The Fear, covered in bees. The Sorrow, a ghostly swimmer. The Fury, a flamethrower-wielding cosmonaut. The Vibe, well, that one might be fictional.

Although the release date and trailer have not been officially confirmed by Konami, speculations suggest that they might be revealed during the upcoming State Of Play broadcast, PlayStation’s event showcasing upcoming games. Rumors hint at the broadcast happening next week, possibly on Valentine’s Day. Considering that PlayStation held a State of Play broadcast on February 23rd last year, a similar timing seems likely.

MGS Delta is among the most anticipated games of 2025. Fans are excited for the game to embody the full Kojima experience. Remember the quirky feature where you could defeat “The End”, an elderly sniper, by fast-forwarding time on your PlayStation 2 until he succumbed to old age? It’s been twenty years, and the humor still holds up.
