May 2025’s PS Plus Monthly Games features Balatro, boomer shooting & dinos

The PlayStation Plus monthly games for May 2025 have been revealed, and it looks like a promising month with a selection of exciting titles. This month’s lineup includes a variety of games featuring dinosaurs, a classic boomer shooter, and the popular card game Balatro.

What are the PS Plus May 2025 games?

These three games will be available starting from the first Tuesday of the month, which falls on 6th May, and will remain accessible until 2nd June.

One of the highlights of this month’s lineup is Balatro, a roguelike game inspired by Poker hands. Players are tasked with creating card combinations to achieve high scores, with Joker cards adding multipliers and other enhancements. Balatro was a standout title in 2024, winning our Best Independent Game award. It continues to gain recognition in 2025 and has even collaborated with larger budget games.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is another notable inclusion in this month’s lineup. Known for its retro graphics and old-school FPS gameplay, it embraces the “Boomer Shooter” trend. The game stays true to its roots with minimal handholding, providing a challenging experience for players.

Completing the lineup is Ark: Survival Ascended, a remastered version of Ark: Survival Evolved built on Unreal Engine 5. This updated version incorporates advanced technologies like Lumen lighting and Nanite mesh rendering, along with all DLC maps from the original game. Despite some initial challenges, Ark: Survival Ascended remains popular among players.
