Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection has brought back the beloved crossover fighting games for fans to enjoy once again. A fan recently observed that the game still features panty shots of the character Roll, which the original planner claims was at the request of Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune.

The original planner of the game, Atsushi Tomita, responded to a fan’s observation about Roll’s frequent panty shots, revealing that Inafune had specifically requested for them to be included in the game. Tomita explained, “Inafune, the head of Mega Man’s division, came to see her and said ‘No panties?’ Following this suggestion, the character artist working on the game adjusted the character pixel art to show panties in every movement.”

Roll was initially designed by Keiji Inafune, who played a significant role in the creation of the original Mega Man game. Despite concerns raised by fans about the inclusion of panty shots for a character depicted as underage, the revelation has sparked discussions among fans of the fighting game and the Mega Man series.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was recently launched for Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 on September 12th. An Xbox version of the game is also scheduled for release in 2025.
