Marvel Rivals season 2 invites you to party it up with Emma Frost, features a very Dalek-sounding Ultron

Who’s ready for a little shindig? NetEase certainly is, as Marvel Rivals’ second season revolves around the Hellfire Gala, a party hosted by Emma Frost that takes a chaotic turn. Emma Frost, the first new character to join this season, is not currently in the game, but will be introduced on April 11th.

The Hellfire Gala is a storyline from the comics, set on Krakoa, a living island inhabited by mutants. The season’s theme is an open invitation for all to join in the festivities.

The party is disrupted by the season’s second new character, Ultron, who crashes in declaring his intent to exterminate both man and mutant. Interestingly, Ultron’s delivery of “exterminated” bears a striking resemblance to a Dalek from Doctor Who. Could this be intentional? He certainly lacks the suave charm of James Spader.

Fans can expect to see familiar characters sporting new costumes, such as Wolverine in a white tux, Storm with vibrant blue hair, and Magneto dressed as a Space Marine, alongside other mutants and non-mutants in fresh attire.

A new Dev Vision has been released, providing insights into upcoming game developments. Starting from season 3, a new hero will be introduced every month, mission adjustments will be made, popular costumes will have new color options, players can gift costumes to friends, new team-ups will be available, and various adjustments will be implemented.
