Married teacher Christina Formella allegedly had sex with student after flirting on school app: docs

According to new court documents, a married special education teacher from Illinois, Christina Formella, is accused of molesting a 15-year-old student. The alleged incidents started with messaging on a digital school platform and escalated to a sexual encounter during a tutoring session in a classroom.

Formella, who was also the boy’s soccer coach, began tutoring him in private sessions after he broke his collar bone, as revealed in documents obtained by TMZ.

Formella initiated the flirting by sending him messages on a school messaging platform. After exchanging phone numbers to play a game together, she allegedly started sending inappropriate texts.

The relationship between Formella and the student progressed to Facetime calls as they developed feelings for each other. The situation culminated in an alleged sexual encounter in a classroom one morning in December 2023 before school, where the 28-year-old teacher reportedly shut the door and they engaged in sexual activity.
