Mafia: The Old Country launches August 8th, check out the new trailer

Hangar 13 and 2K have officially announced the release date of Mafia: The Old Country, set for August 8th on PS5, PC, Xbox Series XS, and NVIDIA’s GeForce Now. To celebrate this news, a new gameplay trailer for Mafia: The Old Country has been unveiled, showcasing intense shootouts, stealth attacks, car chases, and horseback pursuits, all intertwined with more action-packed shootouts.

President of Hangar 13, Nick Baynes, stated, “Mafia: The Old Country offers a focused, narrative-driven experience that combines compelling storytelling, immersive historical settings, and a refined approach to the classic Mafia gameplay. This focus allows us to deliver a gritty, authentic, and emotionally charged story. Set in early 1900s Sicily, this mafia origin tale follows our protagonist, Enzo Favara, as he swears allegiance and climbs the ranks within Don Torrisi’s crime syndicate.”

Unlike its predecessors set in the US, Mafia: The Old Country takes players back to the roots of the Mafia in Sicily. Enzo Favara introduces a fresh protagonist to the series, with a storyline that predates the birth of characters from previous titles. Alongside the gameplay trailer, Hangar 13 has also shared developer insights, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the game’s setting.

Two editions of Mafia: The Old Country have been unveiled and are now available for pre-order. These editions include:

• The Standard Edition which includes the base game and is priced at £44.99 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
• The Deluxe Edition immerses players in Sicily’s criminal underworld with bonus items, priced at £54.99 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. This edition features the Padrino Pack, containing exclusive weapons, outfits, vehicles, and accessories. Additionally, it includes the Gatto Nero Pack with exclusive items and digital bonus materials like the Original Score and Digital Artbook filled with concept art and developer insights.

Pre-order customers will also receive the Soldato Pack, which includes exclusive in-game items.
