Lost Skies’ lovely looking sky islands will be launching into early access later this month

Sky islands in video games have always fascinated me. I can’t quite explain why, but I find them really intriguing! That’s why I was immediately drawn to Lost Skies, another open-world survival crafting game. While I’m not usually a fan of building in games, the idea of exploring the open air is very appealing to me. Luckily, I won’t have to wait long to try it out, as developer Bossa Studios has announced that Lost Skies will be available in early access on April 18th.
Like most games in this genre, you can expect to build various structures, with the main focus being on constructing your skyship. The customization options for the ship are extensive, allowing you to attach and adjust different parts. You can then engage in large-scale dogfights, which may seem daunting at first, but with a skilled crew, you should be able to navigate them successfully.
In Lost Skies, you can team up with up to five friends to explore the game’s first region, the Outskirts. Future updates promise to expand the game world, introduce new areas to discover, and include bug fixes, quality of life enhancements, and additional features.
One standout feature is the Island Creator tool, which allows players to design and build their own islands. Additionally, you’ll be able to download islands created by other players within the main game. This feature alone feels like a complete game within itself, showcasing Bossa Studios’ dedication to offering diverse gameplay experiences.
If you prefer waiting for the full release, Bossa Studios plans to launch Lost Skies 1.0 later this year. However, if you’re eager to dive in, mark your calendars for April 18th.
