Litehaus raises €1.46M pre-seed to build home-building platform

Thibault Launay and his wife Simi had a dream of building a home in Portugal, but their experience was marred by delays and budget overruns, leading them to create Litehaus, a company focused on efficient and sustainable home construction.

Litehaus aims to streamline the home-building process by connecting landowners and developers with construction professionals, offering real-time progress tracking and cost coordination. The company focuses on modular construction to reduce costs, speed up the process, and increase sustainability.

Investors have shown interest in Litehaus, with a recent pre-seed round raising €1.46 million led by Cornerstone VC and Explorer Fund. The company plans to expand in Europe and address the housing crisis by making home building more transparent and affordable.

Thibault and Simi, the founders of Litehaus, bring a wealth of experience to the table, with Thibault’s background in gaming and investments complementing Simi’s expertise in art, wellness, and consulting. Together, they are committed to making a meaningful impact by providing affordable housing solutions.

As Litehaus prepares to scale its operations, the couple is finally set to move into their own home after a long delay in its completion. This personal experience has fueled their mission to simplify the home-building process for others facing similar challenges.

This story was updated to reflect who co-led the round.
