Lego finally reveals its Legend of Zelda set as money mysteriously vanishes from my bank account

After numerous speculations and a leaked image, the official Lego Legend of Zelda set has finally been unveiled.

The main issue with Lego is that it’s tempting to see a set and think “wow, that looks like a fun build, maybe I should get it.” But here’s the catch – Lego is quite pricey, and this newly revealed Legend of Zelda 2-in-1 Great Deku Tree set is no exception, priced at £260/ $300. Yet, despite the cost, I can’t help but desire it because it combines Zelda and Lego, making it the first Lego Zelda set ever! A brief trailer showcasing the set is available below, emphasizing that it’s based on the Great Deku Tree from both Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild, with the option to construct either version.

Furthermore, the set includes some fantastic miniature elements. It features four mini figures: one of Breath of the Wild’s Link, one of Zelda, and two versions of Ocarina of Time’s Link – young and adult. Additionally, there are enjoyable builds of Korok and Hestu from Breath of the Wild, along with iconic elements from Ocarina of Time like Deku Baba plants and a baby Great Deku Tree. It’s a delightful set, and yes, I’m even contemplating taking out a loan to purchase it, why do you ask?

In a statement, Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma expressed, “I’m delighted that The Legend of Zelda is venturing into the realm of LEGO bricks, igniting the creative spark in people of all ages. The Deku Tree was the initial element from The Legend of Zelda that we wanted to recreate using LEGO bricks.

“This set enables you to construct two different versions of the Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, each with unique features that capture the essence of the series. I’m excited for everyone to experience building this part of The Legend of Zelda world with their own hands.”

The Great Deku Tree set is set to release on September 1st later this year. Given its anticipated popularity, securing a pre-order while it’s still available is advisable.
