Kentucky Derby influencer Gabriela Moura sparked outrage with large hat at Churchill Downs

Influencer Gabriela Moura created a buzz at the Kentucky Derby over the weekend as she and her boyfriend, Josh Richards, attended the race at Churchill Downs on Saturday.

Moura, with over 11 million TikTok followers and 3 million Instagram followers, wore a striking black dress with a large hat, sparking a debate on the appropriateness of her attire.

She shared a collage of photos from the weekend, where she was accompanied by Alix Earle and Livvy Dunne.

The couple also enjoyed a double date with Earle and NFL wide receiver Braxton Berrios, as seen on Moura’s TikTok account.

Prior to one of the Kentucky Derby events, Moura posted a “get ready with me” video that led to accusations of wearing “inappropriate” clothing.

She addressed the criticism in a subsequent video, stating, “I’m getting ready for Kentucky Derby day two, and I saw a couple comments on my last video. I don’t know if you’re going to misunderstand what I’m saying in this video, but big boob girls are going to understand what I’m saying.”

In the caption, she added, “It doesn’t matter where I’m going or what I’m wearing, the boobs are still gonna be there and people are still gonna say it’s vulgar. Like I’m not gonna wear a long sleeve turtleneck dress when it’s hot out.”

Dunne and Earle both showed their support for Moura in the comments section of her Instagram post.

Moura was present to witness Sovereignty defeat Journalism for the first victory of the 2025 Triple Crown.
