Israel stated on June 8 that they successfully rescued four hostages who were taken in a Hamas-led attack on October 7.
The Army revealed that Noa Argamani, 25, Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andrey Kozlov 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 40, were rescued in a complex special daytime operation in Nuseirat.
The hostages were rescued from two separate locations in Nuseirat, at the heart of the operation.
Hamas had kidnapped around 250 hostages during their attack on southern Israel on October 7, with about half being released during a weeklong cease-fire in November.
Israel has reported that over 130 hostages are still held, with approximately a quarter of them presumed deceased, leading to growing division within the country on the best course of action to secure their release.
The operation carried out on June 8 marks the largest rescue of living hostages since the conflict began, bringing the total number of rescued captives to seven.
