IndiGo launches new direct flight connecting Hyderabad and Madinah, ET TravelWorld

IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, has introduced a new direct flight service connecting Hyderabad with Madinah, its 38th international and 128th overall destination. This new route will further strengthen IndiGo’s commitment to linking people, places, and cultures, providing enhanced travel options for pilgrims and other travelers.

The direct service, operating thrice a week, aims to simplify travel between India and Saudi Arabia, especially for those wishing to visit Madinah, a major Islamic pilgrimage site. IndiGo now operates over 100 flights weekly from various Indian cities to four destinations in Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, and Madinah.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, remarked, “The launch of direct flights on the Madinah-Hyderabad route serves as a crucial link facilitating religious and cultural exchange between India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. By initiating direct flights to Madinah, we seek to streamline travel within the region and beyond. IndiGo will now offer more than 100 flights a week, serving four key destinations in Saudi Arabia. As India’s premier carrier, we are dedicated to providing affordable, punctual, courteous, and hassle-free travel experiences across an extensive network.”Hyderabad, a dynamic city in southern India, boasts a mix of rich history, cultural heritage, and modern amenities. The city is renowned for iconic landmarks such as the Charminar, Golconda Fort, and Qutb Shahi Tombs, alongside a thriving technology sector. Madinah, in Saudi Arabia, holds significant spiritual importance, particularly for Muslims undertaking Hajj and Umrah, with the Prophet’s Mosque, Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, being a key destination.
