Indiana Jones and the Great Circle gets a new gameplay deep dive trailer

MachineGames has unveiled a new in-depth gameplay trailer for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the archaeological adventure game set to launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 3rd, and on PS5 in spring 2025.

Pete Ward, Audio Director at MachineGames, takes us on a journey through this first-person action-adventure. While the trailer showcases some new footage, it also revisits familiar elements from previous trailers, such as the character of Tony Todd playing a mysterious and formidable antagonist who sadly passed away at the age of 69 last week, adding a poignant touch to the game. The trailer also introduces Gina, a photojournalist who joins Indy in pursuit of Emmerich Voss, a global hunter of otherworldly artifacts.

Indy carries a camera to capture the world as he embarks on his adventure, potentially uncovering clues along the way. These photos are recorded in Indy’s journal, documenting the journey and all its memorable moments. Players may also need to utilize disguises to access restricted areas, adding a strategic element to the gameplay.

Having had the opportunity to play Indiana Jones and the Great Circle last month, I found the experience quite enjoyable. The first-person perspective, with occasional third-person views, offers a unique twist on the traditional Indiana Jones-inspired adventure games like Tomb Raider and Uncharted. I expressed my excitement for the full game release, noting that MachineGames’ unconventional approach is likely to result in a distinctive and engaging experience. With their track record of creating games that tackle themes of fighting against fascism, MachineGames seems like the perfect choice for this iconic franchise.
