Huawei Mate XT 2 Rumoured for 2026 Launch

Technology leak Fixedfocus, via Huawei Central, has revealed that Huawei is planning to launch the successor to its triple-screen folding phone, the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, in early to mid-2026.
The original Huawei Mate XT, the world’s first foldable triple-screen mobile phone, was recently introduced internationally. The upcoming phone is expected to be similar to its predecessor but with improvements in the camera, a more powerful Kirin 5G chip, and an enhanced display.
It is yet to be determined whether the new model will be priced higher or lower than the original, which currently retails for €3,499 euros.
In addition to Huawei, Samsung is reportedly developing a foldable triple-screen mobile phone set for a potential summer release. At MWC 2025, the Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2 tri-fold concept was also showcased, boasting a thinner design at 11mm when folded compared to the Mate XT.
