Homura Hime shows off anime action in new gameplay trailer

Publisher Playism and Taiwanese developer Crimson Dusk have unveiled a gameplay trailer for Homura Hime, their anime-inspired 3D action game.

Homura Hime draws inspiration from Japanese anime, aiming to capture the intricate art style and emotional depth of the genre. It is a 3D action game where players must evade enemy attacks from all angles and engage in intense, thrilling combat.

In Homura Hime, players will battle against archdemons possessed by twisted emotions, unraveling the mysteries behind both the archdemons and the protagonist’s hidden heritage.

Master the fast-paced combat system of the game by parrying and dodging enemy assaults, and unlock new abilities and combos to enhance your fighting style.

The Story

Enter a world where humans and demons coexist. Souls consumed by powerful emotions and profound regrets upon death transform into archdemons, capable of corrupting the very fabric of reality. Creatures tainted by this demonic influence devolve into mindless monsters driven by instinct alone.

Faced with the looming threat of five exceptionally potent demon girls, the High Priestess dispatches Homura Hime—the “Flame Princess” and the most formidable exorcist—together with her companion Ann, on a divine mission to cleanse the world of evil and vanquish all demons.

Homura Hime is currently in development for Windows PC (via Steam) with no confirmed release date. The game is available for hands-on play at BitSummit Drift in Kyoto from July 19 to 21.
