Hitman: World of Assassination is set to release on PSVR 2 on March 27th, as confirmed by IO Interactive. This version will bring an enhanced VR experience of the popular assassination trilogy to Sony’s latest headset. A new trailer showcases gameplay from The Finish Line level in Hitman 2 played in VR:

The PSVR 2 edition of Hitman World of Assassination will include all 22 locations from the trilogy, with new VR-specific mechanics tailored to the headset and Sense controllers. Players will have access to features like dual-wielding, full ambidexterity, room-scale play, improved controls, and gameplay mechanics compared to the original PSVR release. New interactions such as active reloading, on-body weapon holstering, sniper scope aiming, and manual motions for disguises will be available. Players can even throw two items simultaneously to incapacitate guards.

Pricing details for the release have also been revealed. Existing owners of Hitman: World of Assassination on PS5 can upgrade to the VR version for $9.99 / €9.99 / £8.99. New players can purchase Hitman WOA Part One – VR2 Edition, which includes the Hitman 1 campaign and locations with PSVR 2 support for $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. It is assumed that players can then upgrade to access Hitman 2 and Hitman 3 levels. The various options and bundles for Hitman can be confusing on the PS Store, despite efforts to simplify with the World of Assassination rebrand.
