High-flying Co-op Adventure 'Windlands 2' is Finally Coming to PSVR 2 Next Week

Windlands 2 (2018), the cooperative platforming adventure from Psytec Games, is set to launch on PSVR 2 next week.

While both the original Windlands (2016) and Windlands 2 have been available on the original PSVR for some time, PSVR 2 players will have the chance to experience the high-flying combat platformer starting July 25th.

With a new 90Hz native refresh rate, adaptive triggers, and headset haptics, the game will be offered as a free upgrade to PSVR version owners, including cross-play with SteamVR, Rift, and Meta Quest players.

Although the original Windlands is not available on PSVR 2, it serves as the foundation for the series, introducing the franchise’s unique grappling hook locomotion in a vibrant, story-driven combat platformer filled with quests and boss fights, as mentioned in our spoiler-free review.

While fans may hope for a similar update for the original Windlands, the studio has stated that they are currently focused on their next game and have no plans for it at the moment.
