HEXADRIVE announces Japanese-themed horror game Niraya of ■■
HEXADRIVE has unveiled a new Japanese-themed horror adventure game called Niraya of ■■, which is currently in the works.
Niraya of ■■ is being developed for Windows PC and is set to be released in 2025 on platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Players attending this year’s BitSummit in Kyoto from July 19th to 21st will have the opportunity to get a firsthand look at the game and interact with the development team.
Below is an overview of the game along with its initial teaser trailer:
Niraya of ■■
“Niraya of ■■” draws inspiration from the Buddhist beliefs of the Kamakura period, offering a unique gameplay experience where players must evade attacks from various monsters rather than engaging in combat or hiding. The game’s emphasis on exploration, puzzle-solving, and the fear of encountering eerie creatures sets it apart.
A Fresh Approach to Dodging
Players in “Niraya of ■■” must focus on dodging rather than traditional horror game mechanics like fighting or hiding. Controlling a young child with limited stamina, players must use their surroundings cleverly to escape from pursuing monsters, leading to a tense and thrilling experience of survival.
Exploring the Unknown
The game thrusts the protagonist into a mysterious realm beyond the modern world, challenging players to navigate through unfamiliar territories while solving intricate puzzles. However, the journey is fraught with peril, as players will encounter bizarre phenomena and unexpected monster attacks along the way.
