Here’s a demo for Blades Of Fire, the new action-RPG from the Lords Of Shadow team
Blades Of Fire is the newest dark fantasy game developed by MercurySteam, known for Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow. Set in a world where steel is a divine material gifted to humanity by the Forgers, a mysterious group. However, a malevolent queen has cursed everyone else’s steel into stone, giving her followers a significant advantage in combat.
You play as Aran “We Have Kratos At Home” de Lira, a rugged protagonist on a mission to defeat the queen, eliminate her minions, and create a variety of weapons similar to those in Darksiders. Accompanied by Adso, a young sidekick similar to Atreus, who helps catalog the game’s over 50 enemy types and translates ancient Forger texts.

The game’s geography in Blades Of Fire is intriguing, featuring ruined palaces, enchanted trees, and more. However, Aran, despite his tragic past, is less appealing due to his excessive belt-laden outfit. The combat system is described as unique, with limb-targeting mechanics controlled by specific buttons.
A demo for Blades Of Fire is now available on the Epic Games Store, allowing players to test the game and its mechanics. The game focuses heavily on blacksmithing, with players collecting Forge Scrolls to enhance crafting abilities and create a wide range of weapons with different damage types and materials.
Blades Of Fire is set to release on 22nd May, making it a great time to try out the demo. Share your thoughts on the game and your preferred maximum belt count for a video game protagonist. Eight belts may seem excessive, even compared to Voldo from Soulcalibur!
