Helldivers 2’s first licensed crossover is also Killzone’s official debut on PC, sort of

After much teasing, Arrowhead Games and the “democratic government” of Super Earth have announced the first Helldivers 2 licensed crossover with the loathsome fascists of Killzone, the shooter series from Sony and Guerrilla Games. You can now purchase Killzone-themed weapons, armor, and cosmetics from the Helldivers Superstore, with the possibility of additional rewards tied to the Galactic War.

Killzone, known for its grimdark setting and exclusive to Sony consoles, is a fitting partner for Helldivers, a game about an intergalactic clash between space empires. The crossover content marks Killzone’s debut on PC and offers a new tier of premium items on the Superstore.

While some players have criticized the pricing and selling of primary weapons as DLC, the second part of the crossover is set to arrive on 23rd December. Arrowhead Games has hinted at more collaborations for Helldivers 2, with the possibility of hallucinatory licensed worlds and unique map cosmetics in the future.
