Helldivers 2 film, Ghost of Tsushima anime, and more teased at CES 2025

PlayStation Productions made a big splash at CES 2025. New looks at the second season of The Last of Us and the Until Dawn film were revealed, both set to release in April. Additionally, Sony confirmed some new video game adaptations during a press conference.

The first adaptation showcased was Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a new anime by Crunchyroll and Aniplex based on the multiplayer mode of Ghost of Tsushima. Head of PlayStation Productions Asad Qizilbash and President of Screen Gems Ashley Brucks announced film adaptations of Helldivers 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Sony Pictures will produce the Helldivers 2 film, while Columbia Pictures will produce the Horizon Zero Dawn adaptation. More details on these projects are still forthcoming as they are in the early stages of production. PlayStation Productions also teased the film adaptation of Until Dawn and showcased a Lego Horizon Adventures music video.

Neil Druckmann closed out the conference, mentioning Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and unveiling a new trailer for The Last of Us Season 2, set to release on HBO and Max in April.

CES 2025 attendees can experience an immersive The Last of Us themed event. PlayStation is continuing to expand its adaptations of popular franchises like The Last of Us, Gran Turismo, and Twisted Metal into various mediums beyond video games.
