Google Gemini Just Got Even Better Thanks to This Free Update

Google has rolled out a new update for its AI assistant, enhancing conversations and connectivity. Gemini can now remember past chats to provide more relevant responses, as outlined in Google’s blog post.

For example, if you inquired about the Milky Way earlier in the week, you can simply ask Gemini to “summarize our discussion,” and it will recap without the need to search through old conversations.

This upgrade extends beyond just remembering preferences, allowing the assistant to reference entire past conversations. Additionally, users can easily review, manage, or delete their chat history through the ‘Gemini Apps Activity’ section in their profile.

Currently, the chat recall feature is exclusive to Gemini Advanced subscribers on the Google One AI Premium Plan and is only available in English. However, Google plans to expand this feature to more languages and Workspace customers in the near future.

Furthermore, according to 9to5Google, Gemini Live is becoming more advanced with improved language understanding, accents, and translations powered by the latest Gemini 2.0 AI model. Future capabilities include handling text, audio, and video, as well as screen sharing and live video streaming.

With these enhancements, Gemini is transforming into a robust AI assistant, providing a more personalized and enriched experience. While facing competition from rivals, DeepSeek AI has already been prohibited in South Korea.
