Google brings Gemini mobile app to India with nine Indian language support

Google has recently launched its AI mobile app Gemini in India, offering support for nine Indian languages, including Hindi. This comes after its initial debut in the U.S. over four months ago.

The Gemini mobile app in India utilizes Google’s AI Gemini 1.5 Pro and provides support for nine Indian languages in addition to English. Users can communicate in any of these languages for AI assistance, as announced by the company.

In addition to the basic features, Gemini’s mobile app also offers the option to upgrade to the paid Gemini Advanced experience. This includes a 1 million token context window for processing complex information and support for the nine Indian languages available on the app.

Android users can download the Gemini app from the Play Store, while iPhone users in India will soon have access through the Google app. Google has also showcased plans to integrate Gemini AI into various apps and the Android operating system in the coming months.

Originally introduced in the U.S., the Gemini mobile app has expanded to European markets and now includes support for languages like Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese. Google continues to roll out updates and enhancements to reach more users globally.
