Gladiator 2 Streaming, VOD and DVD Release Dates

After nearly 25 years, Ridley Scott is back in the world of swords, sandals, and bloody arena deaths. For a long time, Gladiator from 2000 was hailed as the most remarkable modern tale of the ancient world (despite historical inaccuracies). It was also one of Scott’s most visually stunning films, earning five Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actor.

It seems that the British director is poised to outdo his own masterpiece with Gladiator 2, which exudes even more grandeur than its predecessor.

In addition to the breathtaking set design and epic battle sequences, the film boasts a star-studded cast. The lead role of Lucius, the grown-up son of Lucilla, is portrayed by Paul Mescal, known for his role in Normal People and Aftersun. The movie also features Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), Denzel Washington (The Tragedy of Macbeth), Connie Nielsen (Wonder Woman 1984), Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things), Derek Jacobi (Tomb Raider), and Fred Hechinger (The White Lotus).

When will Gladiator 2 be released on VOD?

In the US, Ridley Scott’s latest film is available for purchase or rental on platforms like Prime Video and iTunes. It premiered digitally right before Christmas on December 24, 2024.

UK viewers, however, will have to wait a bit longer for Gladiator 2 to hit VOD. Paramount has yet to announce the exact date, but we anticipate that the movie will be available for rental and purchase in late January 2025. You can currently pre-order the film on Prime Video UK.

When will Gladiator 2 be released on DVD/Blu-ray?

Paramount states that physical copies of Gladiator 2 will be available soon. In the US, the film will be released on DVD and 4K Ultra HD Steelbook on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Pre-orders are currently open, such as on the Walmart website.

The release date for the UK is currently unknown, but you can pre-order Gladiator 2 on Amazon Prime Video UK.

When will Gladiator 2 be released on streaming?

It is still uncertain when the movie will debut on Paramount+ in the US and UK streaming services.

Most Paramount Pictures films typically arrive on streaming platforms fairly quickly. For example, A Quiet Place: Day One was available on the platform just 28 days after its VOD release. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem took 18 days, and Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves only took 14 days.

Therefore, in the US, Gladiator 2 could potentially stream on Paramount+ in January 2025 at the earliest, but this timeline is subject to change as Paramount has not officially announced any dates.
