Game of Thrones: Kingsroad – last day to sign up for the closed beta

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is scheduled to be released later this year on iOS, Android, and PC. The closed beta test will provide players with the first hands-on experience with the game. Recently announced at The Game Awards show, the accompanying trailer captures the grim and wintry atmosphere of northern Westeros.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad puts you in the shoes of a new and unknown character who unexpectedly becomes the heir to House Tyre, a small noble house in the North of Westeros. The game features a comprehensive character creation tool for customizing your heir’s appearance. Players can choose from three classes inspired by iconic roles in the original series – Sellsword, Knight, or Assassin. The game will emphasize player vs. player combat, resembling elements of the game For Honor. The depth and challenge of the gameplay are yet to be revealed.

The Closed Beta will run from January 16 to January 22 for Android and PC, and it will later be available on iOS. Netease is known for creating visually stunning games, and their adaptation of Ni No Kuni was visually impressive, though the gameplay did not quite match the original PS3 release. Game of Thrones has not seen a standout video game adaptation yet, although the Telltale series did a commendable job of bringing the world to life.
