The Bot Company, a robotics startup co-founded by Kyle Vogt, the former co-founder and CEO of Cruise, has secured $150 million in funding led by Greenoaks, reported by Reuters from undisclosed sources.

Vogt started the company with Paril Jain, who headed the AI tech team at Tesla, and Luke Holoubek, a former software engineer at Cruise. Vogt has not commented on the news.

This latest funding round comes shortly after the launch of The Bot Company, which is focused on developing a robot designed for household tasks. The company kicked off in May with an initial $150 million investment from prominent figures such as Nat Friedman, Daniel Gross, Nabeel Hyatt, Patrick Collison, John Collison, and Quiet Capital.

The new venture was established approximately five months after Vogt stepped down as CEO of Cruise, the self-driving car startup he founded in 2013, and later acquired by General Motors. His departure followed an incident on October 2 involving a Cruise vehicle hitting a pedestrian and dragging them for 20 feet after being struck by a human-driven car.
