Etihad Airways reports 14pc growth in February 2025 passenger numbers, ET TravelWorld

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has reported robust traffic results for February 2025, with a significant 14 per cent increase in passenger numbers compared to the same period last year. The airline welcomed 1.6 million guests in the month, achieving a high average passenger load factor of 89 per cent, underscoring its ongoing strength in the competitive global aviation market.

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, shared, “Our passenger numbers in February saw a strong 14 per cent growth compared to last year, reinforcing our position as one of the world’s fastest-growing airlines.” He further added, “It is gratifying to see that our robust growth has been accompanied by a stable 89 per cent load factor year-to-date. As we approach the launch of 14 new routes in 2025, we remain focused on expanding our global network and delivering on our growth strategy.”

Etihad’s impressive growth is supported by the continuous expansion of its fleet. The airline is nearing a milestone of 100 aircraft, with additional deliveries scheduled for later this year. This fleet growth will enable the airline to increase capacity and offer more options to passengers across its global destinations.

“We are also pleased to report continued growth in guest satisfaction, with February setting another new record for customer approval,” Neves remarked. This milestone highlights Etihad’s commitment to enhancing the passenger experience through service excellence and customer-centric innovations.
