EasyTranslate thinks augmenting LLMs with humans will give it an edge over pure AI translation services

The translation services market has seen a shift towards AI technology, with startups like EasyTranslate embracing generative AI-driven platforms. EasyTranslate, founded in 2010, has transitioned from a human service-based model to an AI technology provider with their ‘HumanAI’ platform.
Unlike traditional translation services, EasyTranslate’s HumanAI platform utilizes large language models (LLMs) and short-term memory to translate content more accurately. By combining machine translation with human input only when necessary, the platform aims to reduce translation times and costs.
HumanAI leverages a mix of LLMs, including OpenAI’s model, and proprietary recommendation systems to provide customized content translation. The platform’s unique approach involves generating short-term memory from generic English translations to create specific English content.
By combining AI technology with human expertise, EasyTranslate aims to offer a more effective and efficient translation solution. The platform can drive down translation costs by 90% and offers services at a competitive rate of €0.01 per translated word.
EasyTranslate’s customer base includes global businesses such as Wix and Monday.com, highlighting the platform’s appeal to a wide range of industries. The company’s focus on combining AI with human feedback sets it apart from pure-play AI-based solutions and emphasizes the importance of human oversight in the translation process.
With a total of €3 million raised to date and support from private equity, debt financing, angel investors, and the Danish Innovation Fund, EasyTranslate is poised to continue innovating in the translation services market.
