Top Seed Duke Advances to Final Four with Win Over Alabama
Despite a valiant effort from Alabama, Duke secured their spot in the Final Four with an impressive 85-65 victory in the Elite Eight matchup at the Prudential Center.
Duke will now await the winner of the upcoming game between Houston and Tennessee for the national semifinal showdown.
Alabama put up a tough fight, similar to their previous game against Arizona, but Duke’s talent and depth ultimately proved to be too much to handle.
Mark Sears was limited to six points in the game, as Duke’s defense held Alabama to 48 points fewer than their previous game’s total.
Leading the way for Duke were freshman guard Kon Knueppel with 21 points and Cooper Flagg with 16 points, showcasing their skills on the court.
Additional contributions came from Tyrese Proctor with 17 points and Khaman Maluach with 14 points, solidifying Duke’s dominance in the Elite Eight matchup.
