Zelda players have managed to bring back Tears of the Kingdom's unbreakable Master Sword, but the steps to do it are so confusing I think my brain is broken

The live-action Legend of Zelda movie is still in the works, and while there’s no specific release date yet, Nintendo has given a hint as to when we can expect it.

About a year ago, Nintendo announced that a film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda series was in the works, with Sony involved in production. The surprising twist was that it would be a live-action movie. Since then, details have been scarce, especially regarding a release date. However, during Nintendo’s Corporate Management Policy Briefing, a tentative release window of 202X was mentioned.

While the 202X timeframe is broad, it suggests a release between 2025 and 2029. Given typical production timelines and the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie sequel in 2026, a potential release in 2027 seems plausible. This uncertainty leaves room for Nintendo to reconsider and possibly opt for an animated adaptation instead of the grounded approach currently planned by director Wes Ball.

In addition to movie updates, Nintendo also hinted at the announcement of the Switch 2 before the fiscal year ends. However, one analyst predicts this reveal may not happen until 2025. Nonetheless, Nintendo confirmed that the Switch 2 will have backward compatibility, allowing players to keep their existing game library.
